March 28, 2019: Wisdom & Stature

Today was a tough one. On Thursdays, I have been taking a free course at work to help sharpen my research skills, and it starts at 7 am. After class, lab begins for strength & conditioning and lasts til lunch. After a full afternoon of meetings and lesson prep for next week, I headed home at 5:30.

Once I got home, I started right away on production for RPM. The last several months I have authored 4-5 full features for the magazine plus one or two tech features. I spent a grand total of about 30 minutes with the family tonight before they went to bed. At 11:30 I hopped on the elliptical and squeezed in a quick run. Thankfully it is a deload week, so my workout was short. I read the whole time and am finding that to be a great way to squeeze exercise and some productivity into my day without much pain.

I’m not certain what the future holds. But I know who holds the future. With Gods blessing, it is my goal to become the wisest, strongest, fastest, deepest, most mature, and most reliable version of myself that I can become.

I regret that it has taken me this long to finally tap into a level of discipline I have wanted and needed for so long. A good friend once told me that he estimates that achieving the body and physique you want requires about a month for every year of “wrong” living you’ve done. I’m now 17 months in to my journey. If his logic holds true, I’m over halfway there!
